Why should I outsource my medical transcription?
Most medical offices consider their transcription a burden that must
be borne, very much like the insurance companies! However, it is a very
necessary component of most medical practices. It is a constant search
to find the quickest, most accurate, and most inexpensive method of
obtaining that transcription.
There are many reasons to consider outsourcing:
  1. You pay only for the finished product of your transcription, not
how long it took to complete it.
  2. No “coffee break” costs. No cost for vacation, personal days,
    sick days, or holidays.
  3. No equipment, repair, training, or turnover costs.
  4. No overtime, health insurance, retirement, or workers
    compensation payments.
  5. Most importantly, you save money by outsourcing. From us,
you will receive both quality and accuracy without any of
the associated overhead costs of an employee.
How does it work?
We receive your dictation several times a week or on a daily basis,
depending on your needs. You will receive the finished product
back in your office within the agreed upon time frame.
What kind of turnaround can I expect?
We want to provide a service that fits your needs. We can provide
turnaround times as short as 24 hours to as long as 72 hours.
In most cases, we can even provide STAT turnaround in the event
of a medical emergency.
What options do I have for recording my dictation?
You have several options when choosing your method of recording.
We are prepared to handle most types of dictation, including:
  • Digital dictation transferred via secure e-mail or secure
    website upload/download.
  • Micro, Mini, or Standard cassettes.
How is the completed work returned?
Again, we want to provide a service that fits your needs. There
are several ways in which you can receive your completed work.
You might select one or a combination of options:
  • Files saved to digital media.
  • Files delivered via secure e-mail or website upload.
  • FAX delivery.
  • FREE faxing to local doctors offices.
How do you bill for your services?
transSTAT always determines its method of billing according to
the 65-character line. This way, you pay only for what’s on the
page. In our opinion, this is the fairest way to determine a line,
and the most accurate.
Do I have to sign a contract?
Yes, in most cases. Unless we will be completing a temporary
assignment with your facility, we do require that you sign a
contract. This is to protect both parties.
How can you ensure my patient’s confidentiality?
We take our obligation to provide confidentiality seriously.
Absolutely NO details of you, your patients, or your practice
will be shared with anyone outside of transSTAT. transSTAT
will always take all measures necessary to remain HIPAA compliant.
Is there a trial period?
We understand that jumping into a new contract without knowing
what you’re getting can be daunting. That’s why we are happy
to offer you a trial period before signing a contract. We will be
happy to complete up to 200 lines of dictation free of charge so
that we can determine if our needs are mutually compatible.
What if I still have questions?
If you still have questions, please do not hesitate to give us a call.
We would love the opportunity to create a proposal for you, and
show you what transSTAT can provide for you.
